My Childhood Memory of Chinese New Year
Spec Project, 2025
2025 marks my 10th year of celebrating Chinese New Year away from home. While I still enjoy the festivities abroad, I always find myself reminiscing about the lively gatherings of my childhood—family sitting around a feast, the sound of Mahjong tiles clicking in the background, the New Year’s Gala playing on TV, my cousins and I setting off fireworks, and dressing up in matching festive sweaters. Inspired by these cherished moments, I created this illustration to capture the Chinese New Year of my memories.
