HANTYPE (汉梦体) is a fictional girl group I created as a way to imagine,
what could Hanfu look like if it had never been interrupted?

I always wonder what everyday life might look like in that version of the world.
Would Hanfu feel natural at celebrations, graduations, or important moments?
Or would it also blends into everyday life, worn to school, work, or just casual hangouts?
On a global stage, might it exist alongside Qipao as the new visible symbol of Chinese culture?

For HANTYPE, I chose to approach Hanfu through a modern, fashion-forward lens.
It’s the way I feel most comfortable expressing myself, and a way that feels more approachable for contemporary audiences.
I’m interested in Hanfu not just as something ceremonial or nostalgic of the old times, but also as something that can blend into daily OOTDs and personal style.

So far I’ve made some merch design including 中国结(Chinese Knots)bag charms, foldable tote bags, mini accordian screens,
as well as paper-based works like a magazine-style zine Dream Debut, stickers, postcards and posters, etc.

I truly treasure these four girls, as they almost feel like my daughters ( ˶˘ ³˘)♡
I will to continue creating modern Hanfu-related projects for them, and keep on building a bridge
between traditional culture and contemporary life.
